Just had 4 new Michelin pilot sport 3 fitted to my S3, also plumped to get them filled with Nitrogen instead of air.

This apparently will keep the pressures constant , as Nitrogen isn't affected by air temprature!!!.

Anyone else had this done?

I've heard of the Nitrogen thing before. Haven't tried it myself though. I believe it's also supposed to help with fuel economy.

Fuel economy sounds like an urban myth.

Nitrogen inflation should help maintain a more constant tyre pressure. Ive had it in mine since owning my GTI and I've no issues with tyre pressure fluctuation.

Was quoted £570 to fit balance etc but phoned around and got them from Kwik Fit 

For £488 all in , and they charged an extra £1 per wheel for the nitrogen
