The A3is only spraying on the drivers side, one of he jets on the passengers side is trying but not much, any ideas where to check?

I have removed the cap where the jets are but after this i am stumped.

    Cheers

Disconnect the washer hose from the jet if you can and see whether there's any water coming out. If it is, then the jet's the problem and it might be a good time to change to a fan style washer...much better IMO.

Try getting a needle and sticking it into the jet and see if you can unblock it. Otherwise it might need replacement. Or taking off and soaking.

LOL, I wonder if that would work, a big tub, throw one in, let it disolve and then pour into the washer bottle??

I always use filtered water in my washer bottle, a little excessive I know, but the lime scale bits are small, but the washer pipes/fans are invariably smaller!

Click the link to see my car, it's not so much of a 'build thread' because not enough building is going on!

Its hardly excessive, people use filtered water in all sorts, kettles, irons, so why not washer bottles? Brita filters don't cost all that much.

On the subject of " Fan Jets "  what is the Part number ( VW presumably ) for these ? I tried to locate it on the "Etka " parts thingy I've got....no joy . Also , query , can thhey be fitted reasonably easily onto an Audi A3 ? Got to say , I had them on my previous wheels ( VW Golf 2L GTi) and the spray pattern is excellent .Would like 'em on the Audi .Anybody know the number ?

I installed Insignia jets in my old Astra. Would be good on the A3. It seems there are quite a few things Audi didn't pinch of the Golf's

Anythings possible. The impossible just takes longer

I'm sure I've read the MK4 golf ones are a bit smaller, so you need to bodge them in with glue. Don't know if anyone else knows of one that fits straight on?
