Been trawling the web for a cheap Hard Disc Drive video camera. Seen some Sony and JVC stuff which has caught my eye more than anything else, but I dunno if there's any particular models to watch out for or any pitfalls etc.

Anyone interested in this sort of thing have any pointers. As a guide, I've been looking at and bidding on Ebay this morning, and was bidding on this with a limit of £65.  Link.

If I was a bit more proficient on Ebay and knew to press another button after I'd made a bid then I might've bought one earlier, but I sat there looking at the screen while it told me I hadn't actually placed a bid and wondered why it hadn't feckin done what I told it. Then the auction ended....

Okay, here's something. The one I didn't buy due to being an Ebay putz has just come back to me as a second chance offer. The winner pulled out and I've been offered this ( Link ) for £44 plus delivery.

Is this a decent deal? I know it's not a HDD camera but it's not too bad methinks.

Back heeled it anyway, gonna look for something new for about £100 or so.

Well, I spent a few days looking at what was coming up for sale on Ebay, and also at how much it was all making. I reckoned that Sundays were the best time to pick up a bargain for some reason. During the week some stuff was going for crazy prices while at the weekend it would go for half that price.

So, I set off today looking for the right one at the right price, and I bought this. Link.



Nearly new, excellent condition (apparently) and at a good price.

Gonna have some fun playing for a while, then daughter is dancing at Darlington Theatre next month, so will try and get some good footage there.
