    This came out of the car this weekend when one of our fellow uk-mkivs brothers was good enough to run a scan over the car.

    Hi haf - thanks for taking the time to post up the useful links - I'd seen two of them (one being the wiki), but I'd not seen the first one!

    It's all under Audi Warranty so it'll get thrown back at them to look at next week with any luck!

    I never did come back and close off this thread!  I gave it back to Audi who acknowledged the fault and checked back through their gear.

    The official answer was "as a one off, don't worry about it, but if it comes back then give it back to us and we'll have to start taking it to bits".

    Not helpful (and I'm about as engine aware as a dead newt) but it's not come back yet!
