Just wondering if the Amazing Jim or anyone else can help us who dont know out with this one,as Jims Washing the car dummies guide is good can someone do the same or break down a bit when we should be waxing, polishing, using sealant, cleaners etc on the car

Claying if i am right from my own experience you can feel by touch when this needs doing but whats your order in the items above and when to use which?

As said a lot of time i use the meg nxt detailer after a wash at work (on the car that is),and when having a decent session on it i use the meg nxt next gen polish or bilt hambler autobalm but can someone put in order the uses of the above under lined please as everywhere i read even on detailing world and places like that still a lot of people all have there own routine which they obviously get results with so stick to them if correct order or not

Not sure about the cleaner part but I'd go clay, cleaner, polish, sealant, wax in that order. I'd clay twice a year polish 3 maybe 4 times and seal / wax as required, perhaps 6 weekly. QD in between wax sessions.

My full routine for washing is: Pressure wash, dodojuice supernatural shampoo with lambs mit, pressure wash, wheel clean, pressure wash, clay car (whilst still wet but also use dodjuice born slippy clay lube to aid), clay all door trims, boot, bonnet etc etc, use whats left of clay bar to clean wheels, dispose of clay bar, auto glym ultra deep shine machine buff or hand polish whichever I feel is required, dodjuice supernatural wax to finish paintwork, auto glym alloy wheel seal on alloys.

    Process done every 4 months.

    I would:

    Wash - De-tar - Clay - Polish - Seal - Wax.

Personally, after a full two stage polishing set (much like that of the recently added A4) and an IPA wipedown to remove any remaining residues, I find Cleansing isn't required. Straight onto your last stage products (Sealant and/or wax)

To write a guide for the above would take a life time. Best bet is to check PolishedBliss' site chap and see how you get on there with their info.
