Does anybody know if the resonated Miltek Cat-Back (without valves) is liable to cause drone on the B7 RS4 4.2 V8?

I have a magnaflow system on my Passat W8, and there is no drone at all. I tried a similar system on my now-sold Passat R36 and it droned really really badly. I don't want to make the same expensive mistake again if I can help it... I ended up binning the R36 system..  

Good point. I'll get in contact with them, although they are liable to tell me anything to sell one :P. I'd be interested in anyone else's experiences.

I had my system bespoked by them at their HQ in Derby and absolutely love it - I also some some of the V8 Audi R8's they had in and the system noise they made with the Milltek was stunning - sounded very throaty yet subtle.

Well I emailed Milltek, who gave me a canned answer which was no help at all, and told me to get in touch with another UK company (distributor I assume). They've failed to reply to me at all. Good eh. You wonder if these companies actually want to sell stuff. 

Speak with AMD in essex if you haven't already Rob, they're close to Lakeside so shouldn't be too far away for you for fitment should you go through with it.

Not really fussed where I get it from, as I only need it delivered.

Ah right if you don't need it fitted I'd go with Daves suggestion of Awesome GTI, they're a trader on here and seem to be rather more active than the likes of AMD.

If not have you thought about a Tubi, been in an RS4 with one fitted and it was almost silent at low (read legal) speeds.

Well, nobody can give me anything firm - so I have taken a punt on the Milltek Non-Valved but resonated cat-back system. It'll be fitted next Wednesday (6th), so I will report back then!
