    Hi guys i'm new to the site and was wondering if anyone knew of a a3 FMIC post?

     

    preff with pics as i intend on installing one over the coming months.

     think the later 2.0 tdi are front mount? not definate as havent looked but 99% sure will have a look at weekend as im working on it so will let you know

    yes the 2004+ 2.0tdi are fmic'd

     I havent, but they are so much cheaper!!! Forge is quite expensive...but then id say you pay for what you get..

    would an s3 be front mount? could be worth look for one breaking and buy the intercooler and pipework prob work out cheaper?

     Is there an issue of space with any of these intercoolers. Thats what i would be worried about more than size... has to fit in there....

     Gav yes S3 is front mount and it is a upgrade as it is deeper and metal i end caps.i have this fitted to my mk5 golf stage 2 hybrid tdi

     i have an a3 8l quattro with fmic pm me if u wont more details apart from that it is straight forword

    are you sure??,, I thought the stock S3 8L had 2 side mount intercoolers??..

    it does have 2 smic and the ebay ones are not a very good fit as in theres not enough room behind the bumper for them

    s3 8l are deffo 2 x side mount intercoolers. I looked into geting a front mount and nearly pressed the buy button for an ebay kit as the one I looked at had the right pipework to keep the foglights but i couldnt do it. I knew I would always be thinking wish i spent that bit more and had forge!
