     Hi guys.

TT's got the traction control and esp light up on the dash

Vagcom brought up the bove and the part looks easy enough to fit but any pointers before i dig in to it.

And where is the connection on the lead?

    Cheers :D

Hi kaz, looked on ukmkivs and im not sure if its the same setup with the a3, but id imagine so, fenwick has done up a handy how to! Yes

Good advice there about checking the wiring loom too. He also says about dirt and grime getting at the sensor and can sometimes be worth a clean first. they are only 25 quid though...

Do you really like it? Is it is it wicked?

You will save yourself serious money in comparison to leaving it into audi to fix the prob! Yes

Audi - never used them ever in my life and dont intend to!

£1800 to fit a turbo on my A3 - they're on crack! Even better - £1200 to service my A3 when i got parts/labour for £400 at my local garage with a vagspecialist :S

I live 2 mins from manchester Audi and i see the young mechanics raggin new/customers cars - so would never trust them.

I was looking on the net but cant seem to find it but one of the mechanics wedged a S3 or new Sline between a railing and a bus stop shelter on the top of my street...

    Insanity !

God - The TT has been a labour of love!!

Cleaned the sensor but it still didnt work but as i took it off, i relised the spring has cracked.

So, bought new rear springs and sensor (£15 off the bay) and went about fitting them.

It was easy but the sensor was stuck so i had to take the brake caliper, pads and disc of and then with a flat head screwdriver, hammer it out. Werent too bad a job.

Then the springs, undid the bottom shock (whilst i had another jack under the wishbone end) and then got my mate to stand on the wishbone end whlie i switched the springs (had to do both).

Then, on the test drive, there was a slight knocking noise. Traced that down to a worn exhaust rubber thingy so changed the 2 holding it on.

And then, the car had an oil leak and Awesome diagnosed it as the rocker cover gasket. Took it off, put the new one on and now the car is leak free.

The service light came on and reset that and now the car is 100% fault free :D

Was a days work for everything and if anyone needs help on similar bits, I'd be more than happy to help :D
